This was so sad and unsettling. It really brought home for me as very few stories do how very young they all really were when the HP stories took place. I can see Draco sitting there and just losing it, wishing to just be anywhere *else* and...being in Hogwarts and being a wizard, the school and his magic oblige him. You really made me feel both Draco's confusion, loneliness and pain but also Snape's feelings. It's hard when you are the adult and you feel like every word had to be right--how much worse when you have magic to worry about as well.
This was such a beautiful piece. I love how it showed Severus' devotion to finding Draco after Lucius' death--even if you never really specified his relationship with Draco, whether it was just a concerned adult or if he cared more for him. This was lovely and I really enjoyed it!
