Beta experience: I've never beta read a fanfic before, but I've proof read my friend's essays and research papers. I'm also getting an English major and going into publishing, so I know a good bit about writing.
Will not beta: I'm a very loyal Snarry reader, so I'd rather not read any other pairings.
Time needed per 5000 words: I read very fast, so maybe an hour? I've never timed myself. It also depends on if you want me to just proof read it or analyze the content as well.
When available: I'm about to leave campus for the summer, so I'll have to give up my 24 hour internet connection. But I will be available in the evenings and most weekends. I live in the southern US, so take that into consideration for anyone in different time zones.
Last date available: Ummmm... What? I don't think there are any dates when I'm not available. If there are, I'll be sure to let y'all know.
Will/Will not beta a WIP: Yep, I'll beta WIPs.
Additional comments: I'm pretty well versed in canon and fanon. I've read a LOT of fanfics (it's a bit sad...) and other stuff as well.
I'm an American, so I use that kind of spelling. I've had my spell check freak out with all the ou's showing up in certain words.
If you want me to beta something, you'll need to tell me what you want me to look for. Just proof reading, story flow, word usage, how IC a character is, fact verification, plot coherency, etc...
Well, that's about it. I hope I can help someone out. If not, I'll be read your fics as they're posted. So good luck!
