Rebirth

He awoke, stretching his wings and chirping out a short song of awareness from
his heavenward beak. Wings? Beak? What is this travesty? Why is the world
suddenly so dark, so cold, and so unwelcoming?

Flames started to sprout from the edges of his wings. He stood, shakily, and
tested them out. Yes, they would do. He swooped gracefully from the burning
shack. Following the gentle tug of warmth from his heart, he sought his Chosen
one.

Wild black head. Green eyes. Yes, the Boy Who Lived Again. His Master. His
redemption.

His name will be Eous, the Morning Star.
