OK, so, I really loved this. Like, read it, skimmed it a second time, and then sat here for a full seven seconds before composing this review.
Starting with Severus growing up as a lower-class citizen... that just reinforced the betrayal Severus had to have felt when magic, his sanctuary, turned against him.
The way you parallelled Remus and Severus, Peter wanting Severus, the deep-seated not-love but not-hate between Severus and Sirius. And James. OMG, your characterization is fabulous.
Such a good job, babe.
I really, really wanted to read something like this right now. And now I shall read it again. *grin*
