Summary: Response to the Severus Sighs Anniversary 2009 Drabble Challenge
A/N: Thanks to thesewarmstars for the beta and lemondropseven for the inspiration!

Harry gasped as he woke, and it was several terrifying moments before he remembered where he was. He shivered slightly and turned over, cuddling closer to his lover and trying to shake the remnants of his nightmare.

“Harry?” Severus murmured, wrapping an arm around Harry and pulling him closer with a sleepy sigh. “What’s wrong?”

Harry shuddered a bit and pressed his face into the crook of Severus’ neck. “I dreamed I was married to Ginny Thomas, and that we had three children together.”

Severus’ eyes snapped open in horror. “It’s okay,” he reassured him. “It was just a dream.”

	I knew there was something off about that epilogue! The way the colors were watery and people who were meant to be alive were dead and there was no birdsong! That's a sure sign of a nightmare right there, no birdsong. nods sagely Great work. ( ; (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Ha. Wasn't it, though? Couldn't stand the thing, honestly. Read it once and never again. I actually needed it for reference yesterday and couldn't find it... 	Hahahahaha. Well Hermione can't have Harry because Severus has got him, so I'm actually okay with Hermione/Ron. xD But that's the magic of this little drabble- the entire epilogue was fantasy! EEEW! That is one character I rarely read fanfics on... there was that ONE funny Hagrid/Squid story but... still, ICK. (That would hurt, no??)

Harry and Sev is a good match, true.

Hermione would do much better with Draco or Lucius. Both intelligent men who, now that it is no longer appropriate to look down upon Muggleborns, would do well as a mate to a brilliant witch. Ron makes me think too much of an uncouth guy who comes home every night, grabs a six pack of beer, parks his butt on the sofa and turns on the telly to watch Quidditch all night. He would of course expect Hermy to pop out the little red heads, take care of them and the house and cook lovely dinners (like a Molly Jr...)

If Harry gets a smart, sexy man then Hermione deserves one too.

I am not picky on pairings among my fave characters (SS, HG, HP, DM and LM) any in that group seem to fit well together as I think Hermione proved repeatedly she is quite cunning and could easily stand up to a Slytherin, just as Harry did. (They seem to 'pair' up into threesomes well too... lol.) Some of my fave fanfics have been SS/LM/HG, SS/HP/DM, SS/HP/LM... there are a couple really hot DM/LM/HG too.... : )

Ron needs to pair up with someone like Pansy Parkinson who will train him properly...

Iiiick. I was kidding about Hagrid, who's bad enough- but with the squid?? Nasty..... *shudders* And, ha, yeah, it probably would.... Haha. xD

Ehh. Draco I can handle when written properly. Lucius... I don't know. I can handle stories where he's a child or a teenager, and you see his development. But I can't go from canon Lucius straight into a good man. Because really... he wasn't. He was a predjudiced jerk who didn't see any problem with hurting and persecuting people. I just see him as very, very dark in canon. And not in a good way like our Severus. I mean there are stories that can explain away his role, and that's all right. But they have to do a good job of it, because just taking the man straight from canon isn't good enough for me.

You're right that Hermione deserves a good man though. *grin* I actually *whispers* read some HG/SS back in the day. If I had friends that were fans of it I still probably would, but I live mostly off of recs now because I don't have time to search fics out myself. xD And I see your point about Ron- I really think JKR ruined his character with book seven. In the other books we could deal with his jealousy and betrayal of Harry because he was a kid. But as a seventeen year old- almost an adult- she has to bring that back? And make it seem like he hasn't grown or matured at all? I had a real problem with that, because it seemed like she forgot she was writing about people who were supposed to be real, and not one-dimensional and flat and never-changing. So yes... The way she described him at the end of book seven, I can see that picture your paint of him. I'd much rather for him to have grown up into a good man. But she just gave him so many character flaws. :/

Haha, well I don't really read threesomes but I don't have anything too much against them. Whatever makes them all happy, right? xD Incest isn't my cup of tea, so I wouldn't go for anything with both Draco and Lucius. Plus... Well I think you can tell I don't care much for Lucius. xD [Though I keep writing things where he's a good person.... xD Blame WhiteCotton. I do it for her. xD].

LOL at poor Ron! Yeah, he could use a bit of manners though. xDDD
