I didn't mean humourous as happy, funny when I said I was amused. The light writing at the beginning with their dialogue was very amusing at the surface level and it almost lulls you into thinking it will be a light fic but then wends it's way into darker, creepy territory. That's what I meant about how it was deftly handled. I really liked that unexpected aspect of it. Hermione never does see she's taken the wrong turn and Severus doesn't really try to save her from "himself" which only proves he's lost the "better aspects" to his own ghost. But it was written in such a way as to seem as if she's perfectly normal in wanting this and Severus "live" is the one with the issue. Perhaps I'm overanalyzing...
