Holding up her hands, Addison grinned broadly. She'd been joking, of course, although a little forgetfulness here and there never really hurt anyone. But she understood that there were some limits on what Rex would take as a passing offer and a flat out idea. She wasn't going to curse or charm people willynilly. Citizens were testy about that stuff.
"The attention might be good for him, and you've got an excuse for an extended breather around lunch time. Let one of the new kids deal with the lunch crowds out there." It could get busy around about the meal times, and that was probably when a few of the locals would slip out for a wander too. Rex could always use the excuse anyway.
"Oh, we both know that's going to happen, but probably more like Wednesday or Thursday, takes a while to build up to that." There was a reason it was a very specific example. "I thought I'd keep my worries of explosions or trouble making teenagers to myself though."
