It was bordering on hilarious, the fact that one of their kin had an aversion to blood, given it was the first thing they were exposed to at such a young age. Tivadar was, in some ways, pretty soft and sheltered and Mikl贸s didn't understand it and envied it at the same time -then again, Tivadar shirked literally all the responsibilities that were placed on him by citing those same incompetencies.
While Mikl贸s wasn't eager for his younger brother to go through this particular process, someone else sharing a bit of the responsibility would at least stop the constant ache and pull of his entire being every few years -he could already feel the urge to do it again, could feel the desire to taste that power flow, feel the vibration of magic when the triangle was completed and the power rushed in. He was aware enough to know that his father would far prefer not having to rely on Mikl贸s' ability to complete the ritual, that L谩szl贸 had expected his firstborn to be the one able to carry the weight of the family.
Turning his arm over, letting Zelda pick the cuff of his sleeve away from his wrist, Mik watched the bat flee the room at Zelda's request before returning with the tin. He'd never get his familiar to do that, the little demon animal barely tolerated him, and it was a little mutual, even if Mik did the occasional stupid thing just to annoy the cat.
But Zelda was right, it wasn't fair and Mikl贸s kind of hated that neither of his siblings could step up to fulfil even one aspect of their agreement with Paimon. The first time, fine, no one had really expected that Zolt谩n wouldn't be ready, and Mikl贸s inquisitive and stubborn nature worked for him in that regard. But then they had years to prepare, to work on it, to figure it out. "I don't... Zelda it's got to be five next." Five humans, five witches, five vampires. The only reason that Mikl贸s was able to manage it this time was because of his pain infliction, managing to subdue the vampires long enough to get things in place to bleed them. But even aside from gaining the upperhand on five vampires, and witches, "I'm not so sure I can survive that one."
