I swear we just had a full moon. How is the next one barely even a week away?

I can't believe that summer is almost over already! But at the same time that means fall is coming!!! Literally my favourite season.

This whole week we're doing a supplies drive for the kids going back to school. We're hoping to make up a backpack full of supplies for every child in the community so that they've got all the material they need to go back or start school with everything they'll need to thrive.

Donations can be made at the Town Hall, we will be running the event from now until the week the kids return to school at the end of August. We're also planning one more trip before schools start back so keep an eye out to come along with us!

I'm fairly certain that the weekends are just slipping away so quickly.

Although I'm decidedly grateful that there's no mail on Sunday's. It's like I'm signing for things almost constantly.

I think I need a hobby.

I need some advice if anyone would like to chime in: I've never been on a real date before, and I'm not sure what to wear. Everything I own is relatively plain and not fine dining attire.

What's appropriate to wear on a first date to a fancy place?

Also, any advice to not make a fool of myself would be super appreciated. I'm super excited and don't want to screw things up.

Hey everyone! So this Sunday, the summer camp is going to be hosting a crafty afternoon of pour painting, hosted on the grounds of St. Verdiana's church. We'll be providing canvases of varied sizes and loads of paints, pouring medium, silicone, alcohol and different objects that can be used to apply the paint.

We've rented an open event tent, so there will be shade, but please make sure you bring a water bottle (it's better for the environment!) and sunscreen because we will be outside for most of the day! There'll be a picnic lunch in the afternoon, so if you're interested please let me know if you have any dietary needs or restrictions.

Because the activity will be free for the summer camp kids, we'll be collecting $20 from all the adults and other people who want to sign up. That'll go towards the lunch, tent rental and art supplies. We'd also accept donations! Please sign up below and I'll add you to the list.

Sacrebleu! Paris is certainly not what it used to be.

I'm positive the charms of this lovely town will be much, much better. So what are the hot spots? Your favourite joints? HMU!

I am beginning to worry that customer service is going to numb me to idiotic questions.

A man came in today, asking about 'the book with the purple cover'. Literally all he knew about it. His wife wanted it for their planned vacation and all he heard about her describing it was 'the purple cover'. There are currently nine titles with what I'd call purple, and another seven for what could pass as purple for others.

It's safe to say he didn't want to buy all 16 titles on the off chance that one of them was correct.

And somehow it was my fault for not knowing what his wife wanted.

I really want classes to start soon.

Did anyone else happen to catch the lover's quarrel by the wine stand?

Y'all, I don't completely what a Hubble Bubble is but I have had three in two days and I just might like it. This from the girl who grew up with Guinness and Glenlivet in a bottle. (not really but I digress).

Too bad it can't always be like this, hmm? Though the number of people thinking they can fly, are invisible or being naked in my pond could do to be a bit less.

If nothing else, it certainly isn't dull around here at the moment.
