Admittedly, Noel had his own set of worries, with everyone's powers going insane. He knew that some of his students were telepaths, and while, for the most part, he didn't really think about the Red while he was working, the concern was always there. He'd managed somehow, though, to keep things from getting too crazy. His concern was mostly for other people. Liz. Damien. Veronica. Jake. His students. Especially his students. A few of the children had called in sick; some of the ones with more dangerous powers. Noel was both sad for them and grateful for the kids who were at school, but the ones who weren't... well, he was really glad that things were settling down now.
With all that said, though, keeping calm was just what he did in situations like this. Off the top of his head, he could only really think of two or three times that he'd completely lost his cool, and both of them were significantly worse than temporary loss of power control. At least they were for him. He knew that there were people who had it worse, but that was exactly why he had to keep his calm. Everyone else was less than calm, so if he lost his, too, things could fall into complete chaos. If Noel had to be that one calm person, then he would be.
Of everyone he knew, Veronica had to be the one who was benefiting the most from his usual calm demeanor, and that was good to know. It was good to know that he could be helpful like that. So, messenger bag over his shoulder, he walked into the coffee shop where they'd agreed to meet.
When he spotted her sitting in the corner, he gave her a quick wave as he walked up to the counter to place his order. With that out of the way, he hurried over to the table, sliding his messenger bag to the inside of the table and sitting down to wait for his drink. "I'm not late, am I?" he asked.
