Charlestown, East Boston Across the water and arguably out of harms way as far as the quake went; their waterfronts are in a bit of a mess but their roads are intact; zombie activity has left little more than superficial stains in the concrete here but power and water are sketchy at best and will likely stay that way for a couple of days. North End, Downtown, Beacon Hill Chinatown, Leather & Financial Districts No power at the end of the chaos but this will be one of the first places to get it back, having full power, phones &c. by Wednesday. However a lot of the quake damage happened in the centre so the water and electric services are a little on the spotty side and will be until the end of next week. While there was some trouble after the initial quake all systems are more or less operational in Beacon Hill, as if the Krovi Seethe would have it any other way. Back Bay, South End, South Boston Second to the above regions these were the worst hit by both the quake and the zombie invasion; power will be back in a couple of days at most, some people ar being evancuated an set up in sports halls and schools where their homes have been gutted by fires, it's not a pretty site down here. Allston/Brighton Some quake damage here, older buildings were the worst hit but the power and water are intact here, this was one of the safer places to be in the city, you know, relative to downtown. Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, Dorchester, Mission Hill Mostly hit with looting and zombie chaos, a lot of houses were broken into and a lot of people died, as is the story with many of the residential areas of the city. A lot of superficial damage here, but there's water at the very least. There were several bad fires in the area at the height of the zombie chaos. Power and water will be available during the day until Thursday but next weekend it will be shut down for maintenance in some zones until the following Monday. Hyde Park, West Roxbury, Mattapan As above it was mostly zombie damage down here, though the quake shook things up sufficiently the real problems came from the zombies not being impeded in their hunts down here where the roads are intact. |
