"Oh no, not at all. It's a manly wand. Very macho. No tutus." Suddenly, Reed flashed through his wardrobe, wondering if he had any pink in it. Would Megan be put off by the color? It wasn't his fault his mom usually bought him clothes for his birthday and Christmas! Which made him remember something, but he wasn't sure if he should mention it now. Oh well, why not? "Unrelated.. well, not completely, but it only makes sense in my head where a few random connections just came together. Anyway! My mom said she'd like to take you shopping sometime. You don't have to," he added quickly, "I could lie and just tell her I forgot to mention if it she asks why you haven't taken her up on the offer. I'm really scatterbrained, so she'd buy a lie like that." Suggesting a shopping trip with his mother seemed more awkward now that he was on a date with Megan and had just kissed her.
"Ouch. I think I'm offended!" He put his hand to his chest as though it pained him to be insulted like that. "Sunscreen has evolved like everything else, plus..." he pointed up at the dome that enveloped them, "The panels provide a lot more protection than the o-zone ever did. You probably won't ever tan, if you didn't in the past, but you're not as likely to burn." He wrapped his arm around her and briefly kissed her shoulder. "Your skin is safe."
