Her eyes rolled. “You know what I meant,” she said and left it at that. There was only so much she could say to make someone uncomfortable, and she felt like Reed had enough for the night. She was ready to enter the parlor until she felt Reed usher her to the side, to which she cocked an eyebrow.
“They’re gonna fucking close-” her sentence was swallowed at the impromptu touch of his lips. For a moment, her eyes grew wide, but as quickly as they shot open, they fluttered close. Going on her toes, her fingers touched the nape of his neck, letting it linger. Once he broke the kiss, she smiled. It was that smile that didn’t hold any sort of sarcasm or cruelty, but a genuine smile. “Huh. Not bad, Jensen,” she said doing her best to sound satirical, which failed miserably. “A bit chaste, but nice. Now c’mon, I’m itching for some cookie dough ice cream,” she added and gently tugged him into the parlor.
