"I didn't say that," Reed replied quickly. Honestly, he didn't have a problem with Steven, aside from the fact that Steven didn't seem to trust Reed or any other 'local' aboard the ship. The feeling was not mutual. Reed thought most of the SG were nice, at least the ones he'd met, and he figured they were simply under a lot of stress and confused, which could cause anyone to act strangely. The recent violence made Reed even more sympathetic toward the SGs, and here he was, living with one at his own insistence. "Besides, my opinion of him doesn't matter. You get along with him, and that's all that matters. You should invite him over more often. I don't mind."
Beer didn't really appeal to Reed's senses at the moment. "Well, you're welcome to drink, but I don't think I can stomach alcohol right now. Maybe a burger..." he thought out loud as he was dragged out of the apartment, though his musings were interrupted by Megan's achievement. "I'm very proud. I was wondering how long it would take you and the door to make amends." He chuckled and stuffed his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie.
"So are you seriously thinking of this as a date? Or are we just hanging out like we always do?" So far, it didn't feel all that different. He'd behave differently with a date. He'd feel a lot more nervous than he did right now, too. "I feel like I should be opening doors, holding your hand, or trying to impress you... if this is a date. Or at the very least... wondering if I'm gonna get laid." Hey, he was just being honest!
