The place never seemed so great. They were finally back.
"She's right," Victor said trying to help with the kids. "Grown-ups can be dumb sometimes, say the wrong things, make bad choices...but each of you are awesome. If your foster parents don't realize that, then they are missing out on knowing really special kids."
They all went through a horrifying night, and while a little shaken, they made it through it.
"And if you all need anything, you don't have to hesitate to come to Susan, Miki, or myself. Even Hilary," he managed to say seriously.
The group left the bus stop and started walking towards the kids' neighborhoods. As much as they wanted the night to end, they didn't want to give up the kids. Victor shook his head as he started feeling lightheaded. After the kids were dropped off and he knew Miki and Susan were safe at home, he'd swing by the hospital, just to be safe.
