WHO: Hermione Granger and Sirius Black
WHAT: Timelines, confusion and coffee (aka. The Potter connection)
WHERE: The park, then off to a coffee shop
WHEN: Sunday afternoon
RATING: Medium/low
STATUS: Incomplete/Closed
Sirius was leaning against the railings at the entrance to the park, absently turning his two-way mirror over and over in his hand. Not that it was any bloody use, of course – James had the other half, and he was stuck in England. Perhaps more importantly, he was stuck in England about thirty years ago. Bloody useless git. Who let him best mate get time-kidnapped and didn’t bother to come along for the ride? Lily had definitely changed him.
The animagus had been here for just over a week now, and had the vague impression that he was slowly going completely barmy. There just wasn’t enough happening in this place to keep someone like Sirius, who was spontaneous and chaotic and always on the move, entertained. It was getting to the point when he was going to have to find his own way to pass the time. And no’one wanted that.
Thankfully, a distraction had arrived just as Sirius was debating the correct spell to turn the pond into pumpkin juice. Hermione’s Potter-related talk on the network was enough to spark an interest in the young man. And it wasn’t only the ‘Potter connection’ (as Sirius had christened it) that was appealing… Finally there was a chance to talk to someone who didn’t look at him like he’d just sprouted a second nose whenever he mentioned quidditch or the floo network.
Sirius smiled to himself, shaking his dark hair off his forehead as he slid the mirror back into his jeans pocket and looked around. Surely she should be here soon? With a sigh, he crossed his long legs at the ankles and slouched further against the railings, feeling cold metal dig uncomfortably against his back as he waited.
