Rebekah stared at her phone in silence, and before she had a moment to change her mind, she placed the phone back into her pocket. During the conversations she was having over the network, Rebekah managed to buy dry clothes. It was lucky that she had cash on her when she did, even if it was wet, but she didn't have enough time to survey the town. Rebekah's usual means of getting what she wanted didn't seem like the best option. No, that was best saved until she knew what sort of town she was dealing with, and if people were just appearing here for no reason, well, that was worth investigating. It was best to try and stay under the radar for the time being. Yet her curiosity peaked over the network, and a simple message of arrival already lead her to some fascinating finds. The girl who gave Rebekah the idea that perhaps a little investigating of this new place wouldn't be such a terrible idea. The strange man, apparently had been in Mystic Falls, but did not seem to recognize her. That would be an interesting conversation later on, as she was curious to know and the offer of alcohol already put him in her favor. Then there was Niklaus. Once her thoughts turned to her brother she had a slight moment of hesitation. It didn't take her long to reach the address, but she was very wary to speak with her brother. Their last conversation had obviously not gone well. Confessions of betrayal and a fight the could have cost Rebekah her life, and then being exiled from New Orleans. Only now she had learned from her brother that he intended to let Rebekah take her niece for safe-keeping. It made absolutely no sense at all, but she would get the answers to her question soon. As much as she feared seeing her brother again, with the mixture of hating him & loving him, Rebekah wanted to meet her niece. Once she stopped at the door, she was unsure whether or not she should knock. This would be her home now as well, but out of courtesy Rebekah did knock before entering her new home. "Nik?" Her voice rang and her eyes quickly scanned the rooms ahead of her. Spacious enough, she could see that two people and a baby could live here comfortably without there being a great hassle. Though it was true that she preferred a larger living area. Ever suspicious, Rebekah still remained close to the door in case she needed to leave in a hurry. |
