It occurred to Kristopher that morning, as people received notification from internships, that he hadn't actually given much thought to his own future. His parents tended to assume he would be a rich socialite with no real profession, like his father, and therefore he'd never really had much pressure to make plans for his future. He knew that he didn't want to do what his parents expected of him, so he'd applied to a few internships to keep his options open.
He only recently realized that he hadn't informed Elizabeth of that fact, and that they hadn't really spent much time discussing, well, anything. What would happen after graduation, how they would keep in touch. That is, if Liz did want to continue this. She was a beautiful young woman about to enter into the world. It wouldn't surprise him if she'd want to have her options open for the start of that. He could only hope, though, that she was still content with him. Because he knew that he was more than content with her.
Walking up to their arranged meeting place, he spotted Liz's figure seated, waiting and approached. He was glad that she wasn't working on schoolwork, it always made him feel that he's had her waiting too long. "You haven't been waiting long, have you?" He asked politely, taking a seat next to her.
