What was wrong with red?! Tacey felt almost robbed to think that she wasn't blessed with such a beautiful shade. If nothing else, she was endlessly jealous of all the pretty and different shades of red. Pigtails or no pigtails, Tacey wasn't blind and could still see the top of Theo's head. She didn't really understand that she might have been making Theo self conscious; Tacey didn't experience such things when it came to her looks. Her looks were her looks and she was happy with them, so everyone else must have been too, or so she had assessed.
"Really?!" Tacey said with joy, practically bouncing out of her seat. Normally she didn't even ask for consent (it was just a hassle and it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission!), but it had seemed like a right good excuse to talk to Theo. Tacey never seemed to need conversation starts, but truth be told she never had much to say on her own; it takes a topic to get her going. "There are! Such a vast number of them! But maybe quite not as many as there could've been; if Ri's mom had had red genes or if Harry had passed on red genes." She shrugged her shoulders noncommittally. "You seem different though; yours isn't as much red like theirs. Well we all know you are different, but you know what I mean?"
Feeling scrutinized, Tacey shrunk but her eyes grew wide. "Oh no, no," Tacey tried to interrupted, horrified that Theo perhaps knew the truth! "I don't follow! But I won't lie," she said shamefully, "I might sketch people when they're just hanging around." She frowned, feeling as though Theo really did disapprove, so much so that she would perhaps begin ignoring her. At Theo's next comment, Tacey's eyebrows furrowed thoughtfully, confused."Wait...you'd want to see them?" Except for Alex, it didn't seem like anyone wanted to actually see her sketches. "Well I'd love to show you!" Tacey exclaimed, trying very hard to control herself. "Well my sketch book is up in the tower, but perhaps another time then, if you're serious!"
