Tacey sat perched on the edge of her seat, certain she had made a complete arse of herself. Which was not uncommon and she usually knew how to handle it, but she had always liked Theo and if given the choice would not have ruined any sort of friendship she had once had.
However when Theo smiled, Tacey was relieved, so much so that she let a long breath out. She smiled as well. Well at least she had said something right. For once she knew better than to keep talking; she might have gone off about how she preffered the other girl's hair down as opposed to being in the pigtails. She understood the practicality, but it seemed too young for dear Theo. She was practically a grown woman!
"Well no, I didn't know," she said softly, a discouraged but understanding look on her face. To the best of her knowledge, she had never been drawn at all so she only imagined how dreadful it might be to be improperly drawn. Tacey paused for a long moment, looking from the table (where she was in fact picturing her sketchbook) back up to Theo.
"Um." She started uncertainly. "I don't really use any color for my picture so I suspect you couldn't really be disappointed in that sense." Tacey finished with a smile, somehow suddenly realizing that Theo was mostly just kidding with her. "I do love the color though, but I've never really incorporated it into my book though. If I did I suspect my whole book would be filled with redhead after redhead save for James and that Callum fellow."
