"Thanks love," Tacey said simply, taking the biscuits from Audrey. Even if Audrey had been returning Alexei's affection, which she very clearly was not, Tacey was not the sort of girl to get all up in arms about "Boyfriend Stealing". Though, she did have to admit, how Alexei had treated her had hurt her feelings. She would've gladly stepped down, if he had asked, but demanding that she would no longer be his date bothered her.
Looking up at Alexei's question, Tacey smiled at the mention of Amaury. "Oh that bloke's great. Sweet boy, I'm not sure how he can dance, but I'm sure he'd be good company. Is that who you're going with then Audrey?" Tacey wondered if she would've supported Amaury regardless of whether or not she liked him, just to get Alexei's goat. Deciding it didn't matter, she turned back to her bread, having found the butter rather hard and the bread rather soft.
Without looking up, Tacey frowned at Alexei's mention of dumping her like a sack of potatoes. 'Hmm, wonderful,' she thought in a mix of anger and sadness, 'He doesn't really care at all.' Keeping her eyes intently on her plate, Tacey pushed her ham around, having lost her appetite.
