Darn! Audrey squeezed her eyes shut. She thought brown would possibly be a boring colour or something to counter all of his excitement but he seemed to go on and on without stop. She thought about poking a hole in the sandbox suggestion, but knew that she had made stupid arguments for the pool and playset and didn't want to make herself even stupider. If she could tell him that being in love didn't mean he'd have to sacrifice his dreams, she would have. But it didn't seem like any sort of logic she threw at him deterred him.
"Hmm... I- yeah..." she looked up at him as the topic switched to Amaury. She really hoped Amaury didn't mind being her escape. She would have asked Yoan but considering he was roommates with Alexei, it was easier to go with Amaury. "Why isn't he a suitable date?" she asked before she could stop herself. She thought Amaury was perfectly fine and he was safe.
When Tacey spoke up, Audrey glanced at her and smiled, a bit relieved that she was speaking to her. She had been worried about making an enemy out of her friend, because she really wouldn't date Alexei if Tacey liked him. "Sure," she said, reaching for the basket.
