A city boy Alexei was, but for Audrey he would give the city up and settle anywhere she wanted. Actually, at the moment, he felt he would do anything for her, no questions asked. Except, leave her alone, of course. Being apart from his love was no where on his agenda, as she seemed to suddenly take up his entire universe. How could he have been missing out on this "love" thing for so long? It was magical! And he was sure it would only get better as Audrey learned to love him. There was really no other possibility. She would love him, he her, and life would be perfect.
"Well, here it is hitting you." He responded absentmindedly, deciding suddenly that seeing Tacey wasn't as important as he previously thought, and changed course for the Griffindor tower. He would search his dorm for anything Audrey might like, and give her all the candy he had in his trunk. Better start getting her to love him as quickly as possible, he figured.
"Tacey? Tacey doesn't like me, that's absu-" Absurd? Was it really? He paused, mid word, and for the first time something close to logic lingered in his brain. He hadn't quite figured out what Tacey felt for him, or vice versa yet, but he couldn't honestly say that the idea was absurd. They were going to the dance together, and he had come to the conclusion she was definitely flirting with him a bit ago...
The small glimmer of logic left as quickly as it came, though, and he waved off his unfinished sentence and the idea of Tacey as if it was nonsense. "Well, if she does like me, she'll just have to get over it, yeh? She'll probably forget anyway. She's Spacey." A small part of him cringed at making so lightly of a girl he really adored, but he paid it no mind. He had much better things to pay attention to, after all.
