Had there even been a more exciting three days in James Potter's life? If you asked him the answer would be hell no! The days they had spent here had been nothing short of a blast. Food and drink a plenty, rockin' music, and more opportunities for mischief than he knew what to do with! Better than that, Evans was staying in his tent. Not that it was necessarily by choice, but it was still fun to say. Thanks to a little mix up Lily had, she was stuck having to deal with him. Sure, they argued more often than not, but was that really out of the norm?
In the middle of one such argument, James decided it was enough. "Ok, ok, geeze," he rolled his eyes, nearly running smack into Sirius and Remus standing outside the tent. "Pads! Where have you been off to, you dog?" He winked, giving him a brotherly sort of punch in the arm. "I wouldn't go in there if I were you," he jerked his head back toward the tent, "She's a bit touchy, that one," he grinned, spying the bottles in Sirius' hands. "You're a saint!" He snatched up one of the bottles, looking it over. They had a nice stockpile now, tonight would be awesome.
Being the amazing friend that he was, he of course had noticed how odd the two had been acting the last couple of days, but had he said a word? No. He'd pester them about it sometime, but in James' head now wasn't the time to bother with it. He chalked Sirius' absences with the young ladies as overactive hormones and Remus' withdrawness as...Remus being, well, Remus. Speaking of which....
"Hey, I thought I hid those all from you!" With his free hand he snatched the book away, tossing it over his shoulder back into the tent. "Gents, tonight will be one to remember!" Sort of. "I won't have any of my mates spending it with a book! Now, where's Mr. Cheeseface?"
