Normally, the Great Hall wasn't exactly a point of the castle that Astoria skipped cheerfully off to. It consisted of too much interaction for her taste. Younger students flittering around like squirrels and having to see the round and cheerful faces from the Hufflepuff table were enough reasons for her to loose any appetite. However, with everything else upside-down, the Great Hall was one of the few places of familiarity, of comfort.
Astoria hadn't planned on coming, but as she wondered by her stomach gave a low grumble. Hardly dressed for a party, she rolled her eyes and pushed her way in to the hall anyway. What did matter? She wasn't trying to impress anyone here. Lingering at one of the food tables, she plucked up a grape. Turning her back to the wall as she munched, her eyes narrowed as she inspected the scene.
