"Um." His brow furrowed briefly before he extended a hand. "Neville," he introduced himself. He felt better about not giving his last name to people. It prevented the worst of the awkward questions. "One of the .. erm. Visitors." He wasn't sure of what to call himself otherwise.
But it seemed fair to warn her. That, also, was likely to divert away from the awkward questions. Like, 'why haven't we met before' or 'where do you come from' or any other variation on that matter.
No one had instructed them exactly how to behave, but the fact they weren't being officially questioned told him enough. No one should mess with time like this, and he really didn't want to be responsible for mucking up the future.
