We've got permission for Lily's party- in the Transfiguration classroom, during dinner on the 30th. She said we can enlist the house elves to get food, since we won't be having dinner with everyone else in the Great Hall. Which, well, we would've nicked food anyway, but now we can do it with permission.

Alice, I need your help. We're planning a surprise party for Lily's birthday. We've already got a place to hold it, but we've got to get a costume done for Lily ahead of time without her knowing. I think we can probably just transfigure a set of her robes, if you can nick an extra pair for us? I promise it'll be worth it.
Also we'll need music.

Save the date: 30 January, Transfiguration classroom, during dinner. McGonagall's given me permission to throw Lily a surprise birthday party, and you lot are all invited. Again, surprise, so don't let Lily hear a word of this before then!
The party will be Star Wars themed. If you don't know what that means, ask me or Sirius and we'll help you figure out a costume.
If there's someone else you want to invite, ask me first and maybe I'll let you have a +1. But we can't have the whole school there, either.
