Re: Susan and Marcus
Susan hated how easily she blushed, or how she could fluster so easily. It was just nice not hearing about something she did incorrectly by a patient. Or even have someone yell at her for no reason. Anything in a positive light was always strange. Merlin, she needed better days at work.
"I would never say daft or brainless. More reckless and dangerous." Pretty much the same thing. After seeing the bruises and fixing the bones, Susan felt that was the best way to describe Marcus. "And maybe a bit hardheaded." Susan shook her head, angry for him. "It seems you got paired up with a real diva. I wouldn't doubt if they paired you two together, hoping for something to write about in the paper." Which was just as bad. "How long have you been dancing?" She was genuinely interested.
Susan kept eye contact and smiled, "You can't always believe what's written or said several years ago." People were never what they seemed. "I believe you."
