Re: Draco/Tracey
Tracey had so many strange expectations for this gala. To her, the war was not as direct a pain as it was to others. It had affected her, just not as directly, and she certainly didn't have any cause to feel guilt over it. She had been a victim as much as anyone. To her, this was just another evening she'd rather have been anywhere else.
But tonight was supposed to be special. Draco had basically turned this into their debut, and indeed, people were looking at them. Tracey had done her best to make sure that was so, the dress she wore was more risque than was perhaps appropriate, but the way people were looking at her suggested that she was as stunning as she thought she was.
Draco didn't quite seem to be enjoying it though, which only added to the mixed signals. Even when he took her hand, she felt like he wanted to do anything else.
"I'm supposed to be mingling with you," she said at last." If you prefer however, I'll go see someone else." Tracey glanced over at him, lips pursing.
