Re: Lavender/Zach
"I like playing Cupid." Lavender shrugged. She would have tossed her hair, but the clever twist she'd put it up into saw a stop to that. "You don't have to take my suggestions. I just like imagining things. Ask anyone."
"Just be glad I haven't started picturing you with a palm frond and a tiny swimsuit."
She gave him a playful nudge. Zach was a fit bloke. It sometimes felt like she was flirting with him, but it also felt like she was just teasing him as a sister would. It was an odd sort of thing that Lavender couldn't quite figure out. She did so like a bit of intrigue, but wasn't sure if she was keen on the intrigue involving her.
"He might be a bit late showing up. Unspeakable business and whatnot. Very hush hush. I try not to worry too much." She paused and finished off her drink, taking the flute from Zach as well and holding both out to be taken by one of the passing trays. "I mean, I'll be concerned if he misses this event all together of course."
"Are you going to stay through the dancing or make a hasty retreat?"
