Re: Lavender/Zach
Zach swirled the liquid in his glass a little, then took a sip. He tried to be discreet as he ran his eyes down to Lavender's toes and back up again.
"Didn't realize the two were mutually exclusive," he said blandly, training his line of sight on her face again. "Maybe I find it refreshing that you've chosen to be scandalously ravishing. Instead of whatever it is most of the birds here have decided on."
The red stood out, anyway, amid a sea of pastels and black dresses. Zach didn't follow fashion, didn't know what was 'in season' and what was acceptable among the fashionable set. He just knew what he thought looked nice. Brown's get-up was in that category.
With a chuckle and another sip, Zach shook his head, disturbing any sense of tenuous order his hair might have had. "Came solo in hopes of leaving solo. So far the evening looks like it'll be a success." His lips quirked into a lopsided grin. "What about you? Is there some bloke somewhere in the room getting cross with me for intercepting you?"
