"Mmmphmmm." Hermione's tone was pointed. "I suppose you picked up some wisdom along the way after all."
Even though she knew it was simply a diplomatic answer on Harry's part, Hermione couldn't help being a bit pleased all the same. She was fairly certain that most of the time Ron and Harry forgot she was a woman altogether, so she treasured little compliments like the one Harry had just paid her.
"You must know someone," Hermione said. She knew she was fishing; she couldn't help herself. She also knew from experience that Harry wouldn't actually tell her anything until he was good and ready. "But yes, women do tend to like a little advance notice, especially when buying dresses and shoes is a concern."
Hermione, in her typical organized fashion, had already purchased her dress, though she still needed to do shoe shopping. It was a relief that Ron was so tall, so she needn't worry about her heels being too high. She just required something that would work with her gown.
"If you're going to ask Gloria, you'd better brush up on your dancing. I told you she likes to do the lindy hop." Hermione laughed. "But someone we went to school with seems a better bet."
