"Why, do you think I look bad?" Hermione lifted her brow as high as it could go, daring him to say she needed to lose weight.
Even if she did, Auror fitness training would be one of the last options on the list of methods of doing so. It was grueling training. Hermione was more the sort to ride a bicycle and adjust her diet if she was feeling unhealthy. But mostly she never did.
Biting her lip, Hermione nodded unhappily. She didn't want Harry to feel excluded, and she didn't want him to think she and Ron were going as anything other than very good friends. For some reason, the idea of Harry bringing some random girl made her stomach feel hollow. She should have told Ron it ought to be the three of them, but Harry was right. Hermione knew it would bother Ron if she asked to change plans now, and she had no desire to hurt someone she cared about so much. What a mess.
"I'm sure anyone you ask will be thrilled to go with you," she finally said, trying to sound encouraging. "Did you have anyone in mind?"
Maybe she'd finally find out what was keeping him so busy on Sunday mornings.
