"I just like getting my paperwork done at lunch so I can go home on time, or even a bit early."
He scraped his spoon along the bottom of his bowl and then pushed the dishes aside. It was a strange sensation. Hermione knew him better than a lot of people and part of him wanted her to ask about where he went after work, to dig a little deeper. But the other part of him didn't want her to ever find out just how much he hated working at the Ministry.
"There were two pairs. But it wasn't like we hit up the laundromat all that often so the stains were probably the same on both," Harry said with a laugh, reaching for his coffee cup, checking to see if the dregs were as bad as he thought they might be. They were. He put the cup back.
"Of course he threatened you. Probably didn't want to think about how we saved his arse in the Room of Requirement." Harry let out a snort and rubbed the back of his neck as he thought. "You know I could stand to part with the snitch that Dumbledore gave me."
