RP: Gala Preparations Who: Harry and Hermione Where: DoMLE: Auror Headquarters When: 12 June, 2004 Rating: PG Status: Ongoing
Harry pulled back the chair to his desk and moved a bunch of parchments out of the way. He directed the floating canteen tray to settle on the bare spot and then dropped down into the chair, digging into the beef stew he'd gotten for lunch. Eating at his desk had become a bit of a norm as of late. Mostly to avoid getting behind on his paperwork. If he had everything done before it was time to punch out, he wouldn't have to stay late. That would give him ample time to get to Hogsmeade and work on the next day's batch of stock.
If he made it home before two in the morning, that was a good day.
Stifling a yawn around a particularly large piece of turnip, Harry reached into his satchel. He'd grabbed all the owls from the shop last night and brought them home, intending on reading them there. However when he woke on the sofa, a supplier invoice stuck to his face, he decided it would be easier to go through a couple at work. He was mostly ahead on his Auror paperwork.
Stuffing a piece of roll into his mouth, Harry slit open one of the envelopes, frowning as he recognised the Ministry logo at the top.
And groaning when he realised what it was for. How on earth could he possibly juggle an order of such size with all the other baking he had to do?
Shoving the order into his satchel, he tugged out a notepad, working on writing out a realistic refusal.
