The song came to a close and Theodore set aside the guitar, resting it on its stand. A number of his mates from the stables were whistling through their fingers at him. Theodore was tempted to flip them off, but was caught off guard when he spotted a familiar face at the other end of the pub. His face went a bit hot and he hopped down off the stage.
Crossing the pub, he rubbed the back of his neck and approached Tracey. "I would have hung back at the stables, but I didn't know if you were going to stop by," he said.
Theodore gestured to the bar where there were two empty stools and made to take a seat once she had gotten herself settled. He felt a little awkward, but only because she'd surprised him. It took him back to the first day when he'd felt almost cornered and unable to flee. At least this time he wasn't so uneasy about her learning another of his secrets.
"Pint?" he asked, glancing toward the barkeep. "Or did you want to ask me about that..." He gestured back towards the stage.
