Lavender spun around, flipping her hair over her shoulder and snapping her notebook closed. She scowled at the person attached to the voice, peering at him for a long moment and going through her mental roster of faces. A flicker of recognition went through her head and she took a step back, folding her arms over her breasts.
"I wasn't in the market for a new broom, actually. What I am trying to find out is why women are talked down to when purchasing a new broom. I have a muggleborn friend who mentioned this happening in the muggle world with cars and that she came across it with brooms."
Lavender resisted the urge to open her notebook back up and get a quote from him. He looked three inches from snapping at her. Most men looked that way when they were talking to her. But she didn't actually believe that it would happen with the rest of them. With him, it was different.
"Off the record... does Nimbus offer bigger commissions to the salesmen for custom brooms? or is that just a Cleansweep thing?"
She tilted her head and then stuck out her fingers to look at her nails. "Famous Zach Smith, former falcons chaser, Nimbus broom designer... ought to have some kind of insight on the sales side of thing."
