"Good things come to those who wait?" It was a complete contradiction to what he had said only moments earlier but sometimes it was necessary in order to save face.
He wasn't able to dodge the paper from Harry's coaster this time. Nor was he ever, really. After all, it was only a bit of paper.
"Serbia, eh? That's exciting. Confidential I assume?" It dawned on Ron that his was the only job that was completely discussable at D3MWWatM meetings.
When Harry opened the mask, Ron excitedly began explaining.
"Okay, so this mask is the face of an ancient Japanese demon who tricked an emperor into giving him a thousand samurai swords in exchange for a scroll of secrets. Against the advice of his top advisors, the emperor made the deal. As soon as he opened the scroll, it melted into a puddle of green ooze and the demon revealed his true form and escaped from the imperial palace, never to be found again. Now, every year, the citizens of a handful of villages wear the masks to remind the royal family to preserve their might and not to be fooled by offers of secrets."
Ron paused and waited for Harry to become as excited by the story as he was.
