Once you have selected an available character and/or requested a hold on said character, please copy and paste the following for your application. After you've completed the application, post the application in your character journal (or your development journal, if you don't want to create a character journal just yet) and drop a comment with the link here! Please note that all comments are screened, as we value privacy. We will review your application and get back to you within due time. Expecting a response within an hour of having sent an application is extremely unrealistic. Similarly, badgering us regarding your application is not likely to endear you to us, so just please be patient!

YOUR CHARACTER
NAME: Chances are, your character is related to someone. Check the lexicon!
AGE/BIRTHDATE: Game started in September of 1977 and it is now 1979.
HOUSE: Check the Lexicon for canon details!
BLOODLINE: Again, check the Lexicon for canon details!
SOCIAL STATUS: This may correlate to your character's bloodline, but not everyone is filthy rich like the Malfoys. Similarly, not everyone attending Hogwarts is dirt-poor like the Weasleys.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: If your character is gay or bisexual, be prepared to prove you know how to handle it.
AFFILIATION: Order? Neutral? Death Eaters? If your character is affiliated with either the Order or Death Eaters, please indicate approximately when they joined and the conditions under which they joined.
HOBBIES/CLUBS/ACTIVITIES Prefect, Head Boy/Girl, Quidditch team, dueling club, chess club, gobstones club, miscellaneous interests and hobbies, etc. If your character collects buttons for a hobby, you should mention it here, as well as whether people might know this about them.
PLANS FOR YOUR CHARACTER: List three developments or storylines that you would like to play out with your character through out the span of the game.

DESIRED PLAYED BY: Please keep in mind that, as the mods, we reserve the right to reject your PB. Make sure your Played By isn't already <a href="http://asylums.insanejournal.com/scotopia_mod/508.html">taken</a>, and that whoever you plan on using is acceptable in terms of both age and time period.
PERSONALITY: Details in paragraph form. What makes your character so unique? What differentiates them from the next person?
HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER EXEMPLIFY HOUSE QUALITIES?: As Gryffindors are renowned for their bravery, and Ravenclaw for their cleverness and wit, you should be able to demonstrate how your character fits into their selected House.

HISTORY: This should also be very thorough and detailed. Check the lexicon for important information regarding your character.

YOUR SAMPLES
JOURNAL SAMPLE: This should be written as the character you're applying for; 150+ words, first person.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: Should be written from the point of view of the character you're applying for. 150+ words, third person, past tense.
