MINISTRY CONNECTIONS LINK SLAIN HOGWARTS STUDENTS
LONDON (DP) - New information regarding a connection between the five Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry students who were abducted by Death Eaters from Hogsmeade village in Scotland late last November was released by the Ministry of Magic late yesterday.
Ministry spokepersons have revealed that all five students had family connexions to the Ministry. Felicity Bagnold's relation was the most visible - she was the niece of Minister of Magic Millicent Bagnold. Robert Lemons, father of Natalie, was formerly the head of the Department of Mysteries, who stepped down after confirmation of his daughter's death and was succeeded by Augustus Rookwood. Simon Peale's grandfather and Eugene Clogg's father both sit on the Wizengamot. Michelle Alderton was the granddaughter Adelbert Alderton, who was murdered by the Death Eaters on 27 May, 1972 - her father Brutus Alderton, also a member of the Wizengamot, claimed to have seen Lord Voldemort fleeing the scene and later pressed the Wizengamot to place full authority for dealing with the Death Eaters in the hands of the aurors.
When asked whether the Ministry believed the students were targeted in an attempt to gain access to the Ministry, spokepersons stated that it was too early to tell. |
