My fellow Kindred,
Over a week has passed since the announcement of the final death of the Ventrue Primogen Alex Caine. In this time, nothing further has been mentioned about the investigation that is ongoing both to the public at large or to the clan of the Ventrue. One has to wonder: does the Prince truly have things under control as he claims to?
Notably, a recent Incident at a Gallery sparked a swift and harsh response—some say, too harsh. Yet the culprits behind the Primogen’s death remain at large. Do the Hounds of New York have selective efficiencies when it comes to investigating persons of interest or might there be more than meets the eye to Mr Alex Caine’s death that the general public simply does not know about?
On July 4th, our dear Prince made a perfunctory speech about the progress and future of the Kindred in this city. What he failed to mention, however, was the fact that news of the Ventrue Primogen’s expiration had already been reported to him in full. Eyewitness accounts place the Sheriff at the ‘Ivory’ Tower late night on 1st July, giving an account of the incident. Yet, it wasn’t until July 9th that an official announcement was made by the Herald. Something to hide, perhaps? One thing remains clear however, the Prince’s lauded “open channels of communication” simply aren’t as ‘open’ as he makes them out to be.
Question the truth that they want to feed you my friends least you end up choking on it.
