Notes: Four versions of the world's shortest fairytale, snagged from xwingace and reposted here, because I found the fourth one amusing.
The misogynistic 1:
Once upon a time there was a boy who asked a girl to marry him.
She said no.
And he lived happily ever after.
The misandric 2:
Once upon a time there was a boy who asked a girl to marry him.
She said no.
And she lived happily ever after.
Full equality:
Once upon a time there was a boy who asked a girl to marry him.
She said no.
And they lived happily ever after.
And the slash fanfic 3:
Once upon a time there was a boy who asked another boy to marry him.
He said yes.
And the fangirls lived happily ever after.
XWA
1) The version my dad read out of a joke book.
2) My knee-jerk reaction
3) With thanks to sereighna for a little inspiration.
