Nodding, Caspian offered her a smile, “It was a nice surprise. I had no idea that you could do that, though I probably should have suspected considering the clues.” She was graceful, nearly cat-like herself so the idea that she could change into a black cat now was not near the shock that it had been initially. He didn’t mind, either, that it was her only ability. What more could she need? His weren’t nearly as playful or fascinating, cuddly or graceful.
When the kiss ended Caspian peered into her eyes. She was beautiful, there was no doubting that at all. “I’m afraid my abilities aren’t quite as cuddly as yours, though that makes them no less interesting I suppose. You know already that I can read your mind,” He said softly, watching her for a reaction. He felt honesty was a good policy to have when you were wrapped up in someone else.
“Telepathy is what they call it commonly. I also have another thing that I can do, I can manipulate someone’s memories. I don’t do either of these things unless I have to and I don’t advertise that I can do them, if that got into the wrong hands I suppose I wouldn’t be safe out on the street.” He hoped she wouldn’t balk at his list of things he could do, he wanted her to be safe and feel comfortable around him.
