Darryl & OPEN - Buffet Table - 8:15pm
Darryl had his reservations about making too many public appearances but at the same time something like this that was for the good of his community he would berate himself for weeks for missing later if he'd passed the opportunity up. Sure, his mobility wasn't what it used to be in his service days but even he could still clean up nice if the event called for it. Thankfully, no one had ushered him onto the dance floor yet and really the whole party was better for it. No one needed to get taken to school on how to dance this early in the night. Surely his smooth moves could wait until much later in the evening after he'd had a few shots of tequila to loosen him up.
Besides, it was a little harder to dance to rock music anyway and while Darryl could appreciate the band and all they stood for they weren't really the type of music you cut a rug to. He'd listened to them and enjoyed what he could of the music - much preferring their covers of other bands songs, but appreciating the messages their personal music carried - but found himself far more interested in the food shortly after they'd exited the stage than anything else.
Besides, this place sure as hell knew how to feed an army, and considering they seemed to have enough food for an entire Regiment Darryl wasn't about to not take advantage of that.
