Re: Everett & Delphine
"You can make the current clothes a little bigger," she said, "but that doesn't mean that you can't look for new things," she said laughing. "Seriously, more clothes are really really good. And perfect. You have your own consultant at your disposal." She smiled, satisfied that Everett was now thinking about necessary thing and not about how terrible the situation was. "I mean considering that some of us arrived in nothing but a gown, anything you can do will be an improvement. Something that they can use as cloaks when they go out maybe more like Muggle jackets because they are less likely to get caught in things. Really, love, you have so much in front of you, and we'll need all of your skills, so please, fix things."
Delphine laughed. "That's one way to keep people at bay. Get a husband who's snottiness is famous around the country." She hadn't known that. "That's... I never expected you not to live at the manor. That's... I'm sorry, I'm a little stuck with the word. That must have been a shift in your thinking." She grinned. "I'm not sure if that was meant to be an insult or a compliment, but thank you."
She nodded. "I never said that I'm not pushy, and unless you want to help me cleaning nappies, I suggest you get on with it, because I'm pretty sure that as an unofficial uncle, you get stuck with changing nappies too." She snorted. "I remember when marriage wasn't in your department. Then a husband. Then love. Really, you're failing at staying detached."
