Regulus stared at Sirius for a moment, not knowing where this honesty from both of them was coming from. It wasn't that they hadn't discussed this in the past, but they were always a little indirect, because they'd been raised that way. He got up from the arm chair and sat at the other edge of the couch before launching himself at Sirius. "Awwww, you totally love me." He gave Sirius a big, loud kiss on his cheek. "I've missed you for so long, since I was ten, and it is perfect having you here. So we can be soppy together."
He laughed again. "Well, one of us had to be childish, you volunteered before I did, that's all." He finally let go of Sirius, but still leaned against him. "You can deal with the spells and after we test them, I can deal with the Ministry. Team work." Raising his head, he looked at Sirius. "I know you don't care about them, and I know I shouldn't care because it's not even them, it's a stupid portrait. Right now, I'm more concerned about what you think since you apparently don't like it."
That made more sense. "Sorry, I guess I'm stuck at the fact that you don't like him, and maybe he is a little dull. He doesn't talk about wars, lethal spells and what not, but then the entire population is a little dull when you compare it to our lives. He likes Quidditch and travelling and he makes me happy, Sirius. He makes me stop thinking so hard about all the bad things and he finds a way to make me focus on the fun stuff." He grinned. "I'm intelligent and brilliant and insightful, am I? That's quite the list there. And I care about you and your opinion. Spent time with him, please. See if you still think that in a month. Tell me then if you still feel the same."
