Author's Note: Another one shot, but this one's a tad different. I used a letter from one of my favourite moves: Immortal Beloved with Gary Oldman. The letter actually was written by Ludwig van Beethoven to his lady love. There's much controversy over who the woman really is. But, I loved the letter and it lent itself to a wonderful fic. Author's Note: Another songfic by yours truly. This one is to Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. A fic inspired by dark_branwen as we were browsing through the different fics today. Please note... if you have read 'By My Side' this is not the sequel to it. That will be coming out soon... This fic is Harry leaving to fight Voldemort... only he's on his own. A completely different story than 'By My Side'.

Summary: A songfic to 'By My Side' from the musical Godspell. Hermione can't fall asleep. Something is keeping her from her slumber. A vision makes her fear for Harry's life. She goes out in search of him, but he finds her. A letter is going to change their lives... it is the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort.
