Several Perfect Moments: Pex and Solly Some of you might remember when I posted a few strips from the campus newspaper. I recently picked up a summer edition of the paper to find that some strips had been cut, but Pex and Solly managed to make it through. In light of that, I bring you Pex and Solly, a few perfect moments.
( Four strips behind the cut )

NuSpidey status quo: OH SHIT STAN LEE'S GOING ROGUE Stan Lee to Marvel: "Fuck you, and fuck your retcons."
Robot 6 @ Comic Book Resources >> Fan letters save Spider-Man’s marriage — in the comic strip
At the beginning of the year, the Spider-Man newspaper strip received a bit of a makeover that brought it in step with comic book continuity. Echoing “Brand New Day,” the strip reverted Peter Parker to an unmarried student living with his Aunt May. Mephisto not included, it was just an abrupt change to the status quo.
“In keeping with the new Spider-Man story line at Marvel Comics, we, too, are going back to Spidey’s roots. He’s single, and attending college. Now let the surprises begin!” the editors wrote back in January.
Well, surprise! — fans of the strip weren’t very happy with the change. The editors have decided to “bow to your letters” and return the strip to the previous set-up. Writing off the last few months as a dream, Peter Parker woke up today to find his wife, in a Dallas-style homage, getting ready to shower:
Read the entire strip — and humorous commentary — over at The Comics Curmudgeon. Lay off that Rarebit, I'm telling you for your own good!
Every now and then, we need to refresh ourselves with a sample from a few of the masterpieces of comics art gone by. POGO is always good, KRAZY KAT too. THIMBLE THEATRE, THE SPIRIT, a few others. A moment with Winsor Mcay is always worth taking. Here's a strip from Sunday, February 9, 1913.

[Link] | Two comics from my local newspaper I decided to share. The first one has what looks an awful lot like Silver-Age Sentry, the other has Captain America. Both are on psychiatrist couches. First one I clipped out months ago, put away, and forgot, the second one I saw today. They're by different people, too. Still, the similarities are weird.
( Cut because it's slightly too big. )
If that's not the Sentry but rather a generic super hero, was the Silver-Age Sentry deliberately designed to be as generic as possible?
