The pilot is played by Charles Bronson ad he doesn't kick the terrorists' ass? Disappointing.

Depends on the Bronson.

"Of all the planes in the world to get hijacked, I have the rotten luck to get the one flown by the Charles Bronson who appeared in The Jill Ireland Story."

I meant, the film star or the violent British prisoner.

Yeah, this is a disappointing follow-up to Death Wish.

You'd think Bronson would get more credit as an action icon, it's weird that Chuck Norris has gotten this sudden popularity and yet Bronson is almost forgotten. And Bronson actually made *good* action movies, unlike Norris.

Oh well.

If nothing else, I'm pleasantly surprised that the terrorists weren't drawn as Arabs.

Scary Tales ran from 1975-1980. Arabs weren't even a blip on the radar as far as airline terror went.

Hmh. Interesting. I wasn't aware that Bronson was so well known that early on ...

Death Wish, his most iconic movie, came out in 1974. Bronson was *the* action star in 1975.

A good story, only probelm is what the police did.

Okay, am I the only one wondering where that kid got those toys, and where I can get some of my own?

Well the final panel seems to indicate the kid was Death himself, just taking a holiday onboard a commercial jet-liner (maybe Binky wasn't feeling well?).

But I was waiting for him to pull out a Superman toy. Boy that would've been fun.

This was Charlton. He would've been far more likely to pull out a Captain Atom toy.

The mincing of skull and the shriek of death mix like an unpalatable salad!

This. What the hell, Charlston? Have you ever... eaten a salad?

Death plays with toys? Is that the message here?
