Weird and Whacked out, but strangely difficult to put down...
I was actually reading some silver age spidey last night, and so to go from that, to reading this issue this morning was a weird transition.
I guess as long as you approach it in the right spirit as if it was just being a warped out black humour issue of What If, then this is enjoyable enough.
And I do prefer Van Lente's take on them over Kirkmans. He at least seems to like doing different things with it.
The moment where the villains had their horrified reaction at Spidey breaking the 'silver age comic' rules of engagement, was particularly delicious. (Pun only partly intended!)
